ALWAYS Smoke test

Smoke tests allow us to test the integrity and safety of your appliance and flue, I perform these on every sweep. As you can see, here there is a little bit of smoke escaping from a hole in this brick chimney stack. In my opinion, this is nothing serious as it is a very small hole and is towards the top of the stack. It is still important to take a note of this and check it on the next sweep for any increase in size.
